Abi Clarke
In the past,
i.e. In the early 2020s, comedians could have expected to play for years in the
UK before being invited on the TV panel and selling out arena tours. Right now,
it's not as simple. One art form that could be performed live in the future is
comedy, however there's no way to expect arena tours. But, one Bristol comedian
has found a global audience by utilizing the social media lockdown. Making it
big on the internet isn't something Abi Clarke wanted to achieve. Abi Clarke, a
24 year old living in Henbury with her parents made her first online video to
"build a community of like-minded people who would appreciate my stand-up
comic act." "I performed a lot in Devon to men aged 50 and older who
were not so enthusiastic about my Love Island Sims and Twilight references, so
I decided to search online for others who were young and would love my stand-up
routine." Abi, who lives in Hen bury with her parents, has continued to
post her videos on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok. She finds inspiration from
a variety of sources, including conversations with strangers, chatroom, and
writing notes on her phone.
