Randy Gene Moss

Randy Gene Moss, born 13th February 1977 is an ex-American footballer. He played for the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots (New England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) and the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. He is widely recognized as Jerry Rice's greatest wide receiver. He holds the NFL single season record for touchdown receptions of 23 in 2007 the NFL rookie single-season touchdown reception record (17 in 1998) and is ranked second on NFL's all-time regular-season touchdown reception list with 156. Moss was famous for his skills in securing catch contests and the term "mossed" is now part of the football lexicon. Following his professional football career, he started working as a studio analyst for ESPN for their Sunday NFL Countdown program and Monday Night Countdown. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. Moss attended DuPont High School. This was one of the two schools later combined to form Riverside High School. He excelled in basketball, football and baseball. Randy was also a member of the school's debate group. On the football field, Moss led the DuPont Panthers to two consecutive state championships in 1992 and 1993. He was an excellent wide receiver however, he also played free safety, returned kickoffs and punts, as well as was the team's kicker and punter. He received the Kennedy Award for West Virginia Football Player's of the Year in the year 1994. Parade magazine named him to their All-American high school football teams in 1995. In 2009 they named him as one of the top 50 high-school football players of all-time.
